Air Conditioning Problems in Library Building
There are ongoing problems with the air conditioning in the Library building today (28th April 2010). We apologise if the temperatures are not ideal during the examination period. Estates are working on the problem as a matter of urgency. If you have and queries or comments about this, please comment on this blog post.

I think it is a lot nicer without the air conditioning. Normally the temperature in the library is ridiculously cold making it even harder to work.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure a lot of students will agree with the above.
Please take this into account and maybe lower the air conditioning when it is fixed.
Thank you.
UPDATE:
ReplyDeleteEstates are stillworking on repairing the partial failure with the air conditioning units. This involves erecting scaffolding at the back of the library, followed by work on the roof, so there may be some noise and disturbance this week, but the contractors will try to keep this to a minimum.
Temperatures in the library may slowly increase, depending upon the outside temperature, so if you are planning to be in the building for prolonged periods please make sure you take frequent breaks and drink sufficient fluids (you may take drinks in re-sealable containers into the study areas). We apologise for any inconvenience.
The air conditioning has now been repaired.
