Reuters 3000Xtra - Question and Answer Session

Dear Students,

Do you use the ABS Trading Room? Would you like further help utilising this real time financial software? Thomson Reuters are offering Question and Answer sessions for students using Reuters 3000Xtra. If you are having problems extracting data and would like advice please feel free to sign up for one of the Q&A sessions:


•Client trainers from Thomson Reuters will be holding online Q&A sessions to answer your questions regarding data on DataStream

•No need to have the product in front of you, just the question that you want answering · No need to join a conference call, they will use Adobe chat… however, if you really want to talk to a trainer they will provide a number to call

•To sign up email training.uki@thomsonreuters.com stating the date, time and product session that you would like to attend

Dates and Times are: 9th June 10:00am and 21st June 10:00am

New Database: Scopus

Aston staff and students now have access to the bibliographic database Scopus.

Scopus is the world's largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources with smart tools to track analyze and visualize research.

You can access Scopus here: http://www.scopus.com/scopus/home.url. Look out for the Find it Aston icon in your results list to check on full-text availability.

Library Opening Hours - changes this weekend due to demolition works to the towers

The Library will close at 18:00 on Saturday, 7 May.
The Library will be closed all day on Sunday, 8 May.
The Library will re-open at 08:00 on Monday, 9 May.
