Going home for Easter and need to use a Library?

SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows Aston University students to use other university libraries which belong to the scheme. The scheme includes most of the university libraries in the UK and Ireland. To apply you will need to complete an online form and you will need to provide your Undergraduate number or Postgraduate number (on your uniCARD) and your Aston University email address. Visitor access to Aston University Library

Dear students,

This is just to alert you that due to extra demand on Library spaces during our busy revision and examination period, access to visitors is restricted from Monday 26th March 2012 - Friday 22 June 2012 as follows:

• Visitors with a SCONUL Access Reference card will not be granted access to Aston University Library
• Day Visitor Passes will not be available.
  

If you are planning to visit another university library yourself under the SCONUL Access Scheme, please check their web site in advance, as they may have restricted access for visitors during this period also.

If you would like to use other academic libraries, then please request your SCONUL Access card at the Help desk in the Library between 9:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday.

Remember to register for your SCONUL Access card.
This will allow you to use a university library close to your placement or home address. If you are part time or on placement, this will also allow you to borrow a limited number of books. Full time undergraduates will only be able to use other libraries on a reference only basis.
