IBISWorld is an online industry intelligence solution. Covering 432 UK industries, each of its industry reports provides the most detailed information on

• performance data and analysis on the market; 
• supply chain information; 
• forecasts; risk scores; 
• operating strengths and weaknesses; 
• analysis of external drivers; 
• major player market strategies; 
• industry profit and costs benchmarks. 

Reports are updated three times per year on average ensuring the most up to date research possible.

IBISWorld is useful for students across the different schools as it provides reports on construction, computer software, manufacturing, sports, transport and pharmaceutical wholesale

In addition to coursework/assignments, these reports would be of use to students researching industries for placements, future careers (including start up research) and interview preparation.

AccessTo access IBISWorld you will need to use a computer on the University campus.  You can access the databases

1. Directly by typing in http://www.ibisworld.co.uk
2. Go to Library SmartSearch and choose Databases from the top toolbar.  
3. Look in the Business and Management LibGuide and view Market Reports via the Databases tab.

 The first time you access the database you will be asked to register.  Please complete the short form and then you will be able to continue with your search.
