Library laptops are available for use in Library

If you would like to borrow a laptop to use whilst you are in the Library, there are a number of laptops available for staff and students on a first-come, first-served basis. They are available from the Library Help desk from 09.00am until 17.00pm Monday to Friday and from 10.00am until 12.00pm on Saturday. British Pharmacopoeia Online

Access has now been restored to this database so you can log in via Athens in the usual way.
Apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.

The IOPscience service will be unavailable for approximately 8.5 hours, between 8:30am and 5:00pm on Saturday January 22nd.

Stapling your documents

If you are using University printers and would like to staple your documents, then please refer to the instructions in the Getting Started section of Library Matters on Blackboard.

Ground Floor Computers - Essential computer updates taking place on Thursday 6th January

This is to let you know that ground floor computers in the Library will not be available on Thursday 6th January from 10:00 till 17:00 due to the installation of Windows 7. You will find alternative computers on 2nd and 3rd floor of the Library or in the Main Building.

Aston e-Library unavailable

The Aston e-Library is currently unavailable. ISA are working on the problem and we will let you know when the problem has been resolved. In the meantime please access the Library's electronic resources via the following web page http://www1.aston.ac.uk/lis/eis/

Book loans over the Christmas vacation

Books will continue to be loaned for the normal seven day, one day or long loan period during the Christmas vacation and renewed or returned when due. No books will be due for return during the library closed period 24th December 2010 to 3rd January 2011 inclusive.
Any book which cannot be renewed due to a reservation will need to be returned by post if necessary. Fines will be charged for late return.
