Need to find industry or economic statistics?

Aston University Library has a industry and economic statistics within a database called Passport.  This Euromonitor data is available for research on industries, countries and consumers. Passport us about to enhnce their statistics provision from the 3rd of July 2017. 

• New statistics interface - a streamlined statistics page allows you to do more with the data both in and out of Passport

• Pricing data type features -  updates to the pricing data allow you to change currencies and compare per unit prices across key brands 

Passport enhancements for 2017

Passport (formerly known as GMID) unavailable 10 - 11 May 2014

Due to infrastructure work, Euromonitor International’s Passport system will be unavailable from Saturday, 10 May until Sunday, 11 May.

Euromonitor International apologise for the inconvenience and hope to have all Passport features operating back to normal as soon as possible during this maintenance window.

Passport (Euromonitor) - Access problems

Unfortunately, access to the Euromonitor database Passport is currently unavailable.  We are experiencing the following error message when we try and access the database on-campus or off-campus:

We are in contact with Euromonitor and hope to get access reinstated as soon as possible.  Updates will be provided by the Blog and via our Twitter feed @AstonLIS

Update:

You should now be able to access Passport whether you are based on campus or off campus.  Access Passport via the Databases link or the LibGuides .  The direct URL is : http://openathensproxy.aston.ac.uk/login?qurl=http://www.portal.euromonitor.com

We are still working with Euromonitor to rectify the original problem but thank you to the Library Information Resources Team for creating a work around.

A win for the Information Services Team

Congratulations to Clare Langman, one of our Information Specialists in the Information Services Team, who has won access to Industrial Analysis data worth £5,000 until 31st March 2014 for Aston University staff and students.

The Library subscribes to a market analysis database called Passport which is supplied by Euromonitor.  Clare attended a webinar on new developments within this market analysis database.  At the end of the webinar, Clare answered all the quiz questions correctly and was offered the prize to the additional Industrial Analysis data by our academic account manager Ruth Bysshe.

• Choose the Databases tab and then Market Research from the menu
• Choose Passport
• Once you have logged in, choose Industries
